ETHIOPIA-NORWAY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (ENCC) is a not-for-profit Chamber of Commerce  established in  2023 in  accordance with Norwegian legalization  and ENCC’s objectives and principles. 

 

The Ethio-Norway Chamber of Commerce is your bridge to vibrant economic and cultural connections between Ethiopia and Norway. We are committed to promoting trade, investment, tourism, and cross-cultural understanding, fostering opportunities that drive sustainable growth and prosperity for both nations. Invest in Ethiopia

Ethiopia offers a wide range of incentive packages both to domestic and foreign investors. The country is committed to improving the ease of doing business. Ethiopia is recognized by UNCTAD for promoting invest-ment in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and by the World Bank through its “Star Reformer Award” for outstanding performance on investment policy reform and promotion.

Trade

Trade between Ethiopia and Norway has been steadily growing in recent years, driven by a mutual interest in fostering economic cooperation. Ethiopia, exports products such as coffee, oilseeds, and textiles to Norway. Conversely, Norway exports machinery, chemicals, and industrial equipment to Ethiopia.

 

Investment in energy, fisheries, education and technology amongst other areas can support Ethiopia's efforts to diversify its economy and increase its competitiveness on the global stage.

Tourism

Over the last few years, the Government of Ethiopia has taken bold steps to promote the tourism sector as a priority area and transform Ethiopia into one of the preferred tourist destinations in Africa.

 

Tourism forms one of the priority sectors identified for economic competitiveness and job creation under the home-grown economic reform agenda and the Ten-years perspective plan.
